Missions

The core of Christ’s command for his followers is to go and make disciples. This occurs in many different ways in our lives. For some, they have been given the gift of proclaiming the good news in powerful ways to bring about conversion and repentance in people’s live.  For others, we may seek God’s justice in our world, especially for the poor and ostracized. At Zion, we seek to show God’s love through a variety of outreach ministries both locally and throughout the world.

Hand2Hand

Each month, members of Zion pack and deliver backpacks of food to over 100 students in Grandville school who experience hunger. Each backpack contains 4 meals of non-perishable items for the student. Meals are packed on a monthly basis and delivered each week. If you would like to learn more about Hand2Hand, please contact Sheila Johnson and Shawn Sanders .

Personal Care Pantry

On a monthly basis, Zion offers a personal care pantry distribution which provides personal care items such as soap, laundry detergent, deodorant and more. If you are interested in receiving this help, please contact UCOM (United Church Outreach Ministries) to sign up. If you would like to help out, please contact Tom Boeve.

Camp Zion

Camp Zion is a free 7 week, supervised, summer recreational program.  Camp Zion seeks to provide opportunities for the social, physical, and emotional growth of the children we serve. Each day we play indoor & outdoor games, make crafts, do STEM projects, and go on local field trips together. Our goal is to provide an environment where children have a safe place to play, build friendships, and be cared for during the summer.  If you are interested in more information about camp please contact Rachel Verbrugge (campzion@zionreformed.org) or visit the Camp Zion page found under the ministry tab.
