Youth Group Trip Information

If you/your child is signing up for a mission trip, they need to attend at least 50% of youth group meetings (some exceptions can be made for special circumstances).
If they are going on the High School Mission Trip, they will need to be at Zion July 20, 2025 for the shareholder dinner and worship service.
If they are going on the Middle School Mission Trip, they need to commit to being there all week (no leaving for a sports practice or anything like that just because we are only 30 minutes away).
If they are going on either mission trip, they will be instructed to write a pre-trip devotional and will need to read each student/leader’s devotional each day leading up to the trip.
If you are someone who is interested in asking for help with finances, we have a “scholarship fund” that some church members donate to that can help reduce the cost of payments. Just email me if you’d like that kind of help.

September 8 – Youth Group Kick-Off

Zion’s Youth Group is kicking off on September 8! We are meeting at Zion and staying at Zion for some Olympic competitions (with a youth group twist – volleyball with a giant beach ball, fencing with pool noodles, funny break dancing, creating a team flag, etc).
We will be meeting during our regular weekly Sunday evening youth group times:
4:00-5:30 pm – High School (9th-12th grade)
5:45-7:15 pm – Middle School (6th-12th grade)
For youth group meetings on Sundays, please enter through door “D” in the back of church, next to the youth room/chapel.
With a new youth group year, we need everyone to fill out new Release/Registration Forms. You can do that online here.
FYI – Students are always welcome to bring friends (who are in the same age group) to youth group meetings, especially if a friend is looking for a place to come to youth group regularly. If you have a friend you’d like to take, please send this information to them and let Pastor Jeremy know their email/their parent’s email so that he can add them to his email mailing list.
If you are new to Zion’s youth group and can’t make it to the kick-off, it’s no big deal. You can join us the following week as we begin regular youth group meetings. But please still fill out a Release/Registration Form online.

About Zion Youth Group

Zion Reformed Youth Ministries is a place to discover God and connect with others.  In our youth group meetings, music, videos, experiential learning, teaching, and small group conversations are often used in lessons to understand who God is and how we can respond to Him in our lives.

We also play some pretty epic games:

Plunger Hockey, 9 Square in the Air, Ga Ga, Crab Soccer with a 3 Ft beach ball, Slap Dodgeball, Youth Room Volleyball, Chair Volleyball, and more.

Retreats

Each year both youth groups go on at least one weekend retreat during the school year.

Mission Trips

Each summer we go on week long mission trips to different locations to serve others.  Trip are available for both middle and high school students.

Fundraising

How Fundraising Works:

Each student has the ability to raise money for their own student account.  The profit a student makes on their fundraiser is deposited into their student account.  Students may use money from their account to pay for mission trip, retreats, and outings.
